About Me

When I was a child, I used to drool over the opportunity to take things apart. Whether a toy tractor, a broken computer, or my sister's brand new Polly Pockets, if it had parts, I wanted to break it. Back then, all of the secrets of finely manufactured technologies were at the tip of a screwdriver-- and it was my mission to get them out.

Now, I put that innate curiosity to work as an engineer. I take things apart without ever knowing if I will be able to put them back together again. I investigate how something is supposed to work and then break it until I am sure it will work the way it is supposed to. In order to do this, I am required to conceive, develop, design, build, test, manufacture, field, service, and retire systems based on rigorous work and excellent team communication.

I've worn many hats in my professional and academic career-- programmer, writer, researcher, manager, marketer, and strategist. As a result, I have a unique ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and to navigate complex challenges.

My experience has taught me to be a multi-linguist of technology-driven business. I speak fluent geek, marketer, editor, designer, trainer, salesperson, and difficult client. I am an engineer, but most importantly, I am discovering how things work, why they do or do not, and how I can tinker my imagination into the technology of tomorrow.

I love making new professional acquaintances. Reach out if you want to talk technology, business, or data.
